On October 22nd, Charelia & Daryl were married in Alexandria, Virginia at Groveton Baptist Church. Before the ceremony, I created some portraits and images of the groom and groomsmen getting ready. Terry of Grant Imaging was the primary photographer, providing pre-ceremony coverage of the bride, while I joined him as a second shooter for the day. Our two-photographer coverage allowed us to document the occasion from different perspectives and tell a more complete story.
The reception was held at the Fort Belvoir Community Center in Alexandria, VA. I'd like to give a big shout out to the catering staff… I asked about the recipe for the punch served that night, but was told it was a secret recipe. For those of you who have been there, you know how good it was. :o) Also, thanks to wedding coordinators Kimberly and LaKesha of Trinity Weddings & Events, Inc. for keeping all the logistics in order.

Lynell and Brian tied the knot on August 20th at the Hyatt Regency Bethesda. The ceremony and reception were held under one roof, which helped everything flow throughout the evening. I had the pleasure of being a second shooter for another studio. Donnamaria was the primary photographer on duty, capturing the wedding party and family portraits. The two of us also captured moments during the ceremony and reception from multiple angles. Thanks to Terry of Grant Imaging for the opportunity to capture this couple's special day.

What a beautiful day it was on Sunday! Ramona & Burton's wedding took place on 10-10-10 (October 10, 2010) at a church in Southwest Washington DC, just off of I-295. Afterwards, the wedding party took a party bus over to National Harbor for a few photos, then on to the reception at the Bolling Air Force Base Officers' Club. ShutterBooth Maryland setup a photo booth all night to entertain guests and provide keepsakes for the bride and groom. I even took moment to step into the booth. I really enjoyed myself that day, and laughed quite a bit at the stories told during the reception… whew!
The music for the night was provided by DJ Battle, who kept everyone bobbing their heads and dancing. Thanks to Marsha & Monica for their wonderful job coordinating the wedding, and my assistant for keeping my lighting in place all afternoon. Most importantly, thanks to Ramona & Burton for allowing me to capture their special day to remember in photographs.

Memorial Day weekend turned out to be very hot and humid. One cool thing about it though, was the marriage of Corrina and Archie in central Virginia. This is one of several holidays a year when family and friends can come together, enjoying the outdoors and one another's company. The two families were joined by marriage in a casual outdoor ceremony, followed by a barbeque-style reception. Congratulations to the newlyweds and thanks to all who played a role in this beautiful day.

On July 19th, Deanna and Natario were married at First Baptist Church Denbigh in Newport News VA. The reception took place at the Hampton Roads Convention Center, where the bride and groom arrived from the ceremony in a white Rolls-Royce. Fortunately we were able to slip away for a few portraits with the classic car. Thanks to Melody and all who helped make this day a success! The decorations were provided by A Touch of Elegance, adding a splash of color to the reception. Special thanks to my assistants Gary and Charlie for helping out with the photography and lighting setups. Here’s a sneak peek into Deanna and Natario’s special day.

Congratulations to Amy & Mike! Their wedding ceremony took place on May 25th at Sandbridge Beach in Virginia Beach. This was a very intimate occasion with about 50 close family members and friends in attendance. The reception was held at a nearby beach house, where the bride’s sister prepared LOTS of great food. Once many of the guests were full, they realized the coconut shrimp, beef skewers and crab cakes were just appetizers… whew! Anyway, here are some images from Amy & Mike’s special day.
