On July 19th, Deanna and Natario were married at First Baptist Church Denbigh in Newport News VA. The reception took place at the Hampton Roads Convention Center, where the bride and groom arrived from the ceremony in a white Rolls-Royce. Fortunately we were able to slip away for a few portraits with the classic car. Thanks to Melody and all who helped make this day a success! The decorations were provided by A Touch of Elegance, adding a splash of color to the reception. Special thanks to my assistants Gary and Charlie for helping out with the photography and lighting setups. Here’s a sneak peek into Deanna and Natario’s special day.

I recently had the pleasure of photographing the Ross and Darby families in Newport News VA.  Their outdoor session took place at Huntington Park, which has become one of my new favorite locations for photography.  Thanks to the families for being such great sports in the extreme heat… whew!  Fortunately, there was plenty of shade for us to work in and still get some great images.

Last weekend, The Virginia Mass Choir performed at Calvary Seventh Day Adventist Church in Newport News VA. This concert was well attended by members of the community, who joined together in worship. The evening started out with a performance by a saxophonist, ending with a selection by the VA Mass Choir. Here are some of the highlights…

On Friday afternoon, I had the pleasure of doing an on-location session for Hampton Roads’ Mix Magazine. The session highlighted several associates of Liberty Financial to be featured in an upcoming issue. Thanks to the staff at BusinessSuites for the wonderful location, and to Kathi for pulling everything together. You all did a great job as models!

On December 29th, I had the pleasure of photographing Chevon and Leemar’s wedding. Their ceremony took place at First Baptist Church Denbigh in Newport News VA. Thanks to the newlyweds for allowing me to be a part of their day. Also, thanks to Tiffanie and her staff at Marriott City Center for helping make the reception a success. On September 7th, The Southern Christian Leadership Conference (SCLC) kicked off their annual weekend of activities with a President’s Reception. The Mariner’s Museum in Newport News hosted the event with over 100 in attendance. Among the guests was Virginia’s governor Tim Kaine. The Virginia Mass Choir followed the governor’s speech with their upbeat musical selection “Give Him the Praise”.
