Congratulations to Zephanye & Sam! Their October wedding took place in Auburn, Alabama at the Auburn University Conference Center. This was a beautiful occasion with a theme that included Fall colors. The day before, we were able to squeeze in a quick engagement session. We walked around the campus of Tuskegee University, capturing the couple in different scenes. One of my favorites was created when we stopped by a monument of Tuskegee’s founder Booker T. Washington. I had a great time with this fun couple!

I had a great time photographing Jamie for her senior portraits. This was a fun studio session with a couple of casual outfits, and a formal portrait for her yearbook. Seniors are always encouraged to bring items that will help show who they are at this point in their lives. It can be a sports uniform, instrument, or something like their favorite hat. For Jamie, it was her trumpet that she enjoys playing in the school band. Here are some of the images from her session…

Anna & Marty married on October 6th in Suffolk, Virginia. The ceremony was very intimate, with great seafood at the reception and a fairytale horse & carriage getaway. About that seafood… The shrimp were HUGE and (thanks to Amory’s Seafood Catering) everything was delicious!

I had the pleasure of photographing the annual Alzheimer’s Association Memory Walk in Virginia Beach. The event took place on September 29th at Red Wing Park. We couldn’t have asked for more beautiful weather! Many of the walking teams stopped by for a group photo. Celebrities Rudy Boesch (Survivor, season 1) and Joe Flanagan (WVEC Channel 13 News anchor) were on hand to help kick off this year’s Memory Walk. Thanks to Dana for organizing such a successful event. Also, thanks to Pat & Laura for helping me keep the groups organized.

A total of 16 contestants participated in this year’s scholarship pageant. The production theme was “Where in the World is Miss HU?”, based on the cartoon “Where in the World is Carmen Sandiego?” This was most visible during the opening number, when the ladies entered the stage wearing red outfits and matching large-brimmed hats. They competed in swimsuit, talent, formal wear, and question/answer categories.
Congratulations to Javicia, the newly crowned Miss Hampton University 07-08!
