Congratulations to LaToya & David! They are the winners of Black Enterprise Magazine’s latest Financial Fitness Challenge. I was asked earlier this month to photograph them at their home in Hampton VA. One or two images from their session will be featured with an article in the February 2008 issue of Black Enterprise Magazine.

On the way from a photo session Saturday, I stopped by the Holly Days Parade in downtown Hampton VA. This year’s annual parade was hosted by local WVEC (ABC ch.13) news anchors Janet Roach and Joe Flanagan. The parade will be re-broadcast on WVEC on December 23rd at 2pm. Here are a few images I captured of the festivities.

On December 7th, the Ivy Foundation hosted their annual Tea Rose Ball at Washington Navy Yard in DC. This event also marked the 25th anniversary of the Xi Zeta Omega chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. Congratulations! A few presentations were made, including a salute to the chapter’s charter members. Thanks to The Soul Patrol for keeping the party going with their live music.

I recently had the pleasure of photographing Javicia, the newly crowned 2007-2008 Miss Hampton University. One photo from her session will be published in the April 2008 “Black College Queens” issue of Ebony Magazine, as well as official Hampton University publications.
