Italy Trip 2009

By Wednesday, December 9, 2009July 19th, 2014Personal

Last Fall, I had an amazing opportunity to travel overseas to Italy.  Most of the vacation trip was spent in Porto Rotondo, on the island of Sardinia.  The last day was spent touring the Vatican and surrounding area in Rome.  There were a few days of non-stop rain in Porto Rotondo, but fortunately the skies cleared in Rome.  Tip: If you enjoy taking pictures of landscapes, the best time to capture dramatic clouds is just before or after a big storm… see the infrared photo below.  Here are some images from my trip… Enjoy!

I wish I knew about the trip to Italy. I would have gone. If you know of an American Tour to Italy please let me know. Your pictures as usual are absolutely beautiful which entices me even more to want to go to Italy.
    Thanks for sharing.

Thanks Vet! Fortunately I packed enough memory cards for the trip. :o)
If you go to Rome, I would recommend the semi-private Vatican tour.  You would be in a group of 6-10 people with your own tour guide. Our guide happened to be from Chicago. E-mail me if you have more questions.

Thank you so much and hope you and your family had a wonderful Easter. Do you happen to have pictures of the little girls in their pretty dresses. I’m so glad they are dressing for Easter again. Brought back good memories of my childhood.
